I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and every space I run is safe for any member of that community.
People are people regardless of their skin color, gender identity, body parts, religion, hair color, eye color, height, weight, socioeconomic status or anything else you can think of.
Part of what I understand through my work on self-mastery is that racism, bigotry, and hatred are wounds that need to be healed. It is important we stay out of the stories of blame, shame, guilt, and victimization around these things. However, that doesn't mean we have to tolerate them or accept them into our spaces.
If I see this kind of behavior in my forum the post will be removed and the poster will get to have a chat with me before they can post again. My goal is to understand the problem, not to change attitudes. The goal is to help the person understand that projecting hate and anger because of personal pain is not okay. If the goal for this person is truly self-mastery, then they can begin to learn to stop projecting their pain.
Ultimately though, if the hate continues the person will have to be removed from the forum. I can only ask that people shift their behavior and then wait to see what happens. People will not be banned without warning and second chances will be offered.
Pain is allowed. Hate is not.
Love to all.
